Recipe
One absolute URL per line. Google recommends several images with 16x9, 4x3 and 1x1 ratios.
ISO 8601, for example 2026-11-05 or 2026-11-05T09:30:00+02:00.
Times and yield
Give prepTime together with cookTime, or only the total time.
Left empty it is the sum of the two above.
Required when you give calories: the calories are per serving.
Comma separated.
Ingredients and steps
One ingredient per line, with its amount.
Rating
Use a dot as the decimal separator, 4.6 and not 4,6. The scale is 1 to 5 unless you set the limits below.
Google accepts ratingCount or reviewCount; this tool writes ratingCount, the form its examples use.

How to use
- Enter the dish name, the photo URLs, a short description and the author.
- Add the preparation and cooking times in minutes, the servings and the calories per serving.
- List the ingredients one per line and add the steps in order.
- Copy the script tag into the page of that recipe.
What it checks and how it works
The tool follows Google Search Central's recipe page, opened on 29 Oct 2026. It requires name and image, and recommends author, datePublished, description, prepTime, cookTime, totalTime, recipeYield, recipeCategory, recipeCuisine, keywords, recipeIngredient, recipeInstructions, aggregateRating, nutrition.calories and video. Google suggests several high-resolution photos of the finished dish, at least 50K pixels each, in 16x9, 4x3 and 1x1 ratios.
Minutes are written as ISO 8601 durations, and totalTime is the sum of the two times when you leave it empty. The page says prepTime and cookTime are always used together, and that nutrition.calories needs recipeYield with the number of servings; the tool tells you when either is missing. Steps are written as HowToStep objects, which Google recommends. The tool does not write step-level video or images, and it cannot check that your photos are crawlable.

Questions
About this tool
name and image. The image must show the finished dish and be a crawlable URL.
No. Google's page says that when nutrition.calories is defined, recipeYield must be defined with the number of servings.
No. Google says not to use a tag that is really a recipeCategory or recipeCuisine, and gives winter apple pie as a better keyword than American.
