WebSite Schema Generator

Enter your site name and home page URL and get WebSite JSON-LD that follows Google's site names guidance, with an optional SearchAction.

How to use

What it checks and how it works

The tool follows Google Search Central's site names page, opened on 29 Oct 2026. Google creates site names automatically and reads WebSite structured data on the home page as your preference, together with og:site_name, the title and headings. It needs name and url, and alternateName is optional; Google's page says site names are available in all languages where Google Search is available. The SearchAction option writes the schema.org pattern: a target URL template with {search_term_string} and a query-input of required name=search_term_string. Google removed its sitelinks search box documentation on 29 Nov 2024 and says that feature is no longer available in Search, so this markup no longer produces one; it stays valid schema.org for other consumers. The tool does not control which name Google chooses.

Does WebSite markup guarantee my site name?

No. Google generates site names automatically and treats the markup as your preference, along with other signals on the home page.

Does SearchAction still give a search box in results?

No. Google removed the sitelinks search box documentation on 29 Nov 2024 and says the feature is no longer available in Search results.

Where do I put this markup?

On the home page of the site only. Google's page asks for WebSite structured data on the home page.
