Search Share of Voice from Keyword Rankings

Turn a table of keyword rankings into an estimate of how much of the available search clicks each brand holds.

How to use

What it checks and how it works

For each keyword and brand the tool looks up the click-through rate for the brand's position, multiplies it by the keyword's volume to get estimated clicks, and sums these per brand. A brand's share of voice is its estimated clicks divided by the total across all brands you listed. The built-in curves come from a published Google click-through report, last updated 22 Sep 2026 and opened 29 Oct 2026. It is a vendor's estimate weighted to U.S. query volume, not Google data, and it covers positions 1 to 10 only, so positions 11 and below count as 0 unless you set a number. The share covers only the brands and keywords you pasted; it is not the share of the whole market. Click-through rates vary by query type, device, country and language, so use your own curve if you have one. This measures Google search, not answers from AI assistants.

Is this the same as share of voice in AI answers?

No. This estimates share of search clicks from rankings. Share of voice in AI answers is a different measure, counted from how often a brand is named in the answers; the AI share of voice tool covers that.

Where do the click-through rates come from?

From a published click-through table, listed under Sources. The report gives separate rates for results with and without an AI answer, and you can switch curves or type your own.

Why do positions below 10 count as zero?

The report does not publish rates for positions 11 to 20. Setting them to zero is a stated simplification you can change with your own number.
