Restaurant Schema Generator

Describe a restaurant or cafe and get JSON-LD with cuisine, menu URL, reservations and opening hours that follows Google's local business page.

How to use

What it checks and how it works

The tool follows Google Search Central's local business page, opened on 29 Oct 2026, which covers food places too: name and address are required, and servesCuisine, menu, telephone, url, geo, openingHoursSpecification and priceRange are recommended. The menu must be a fully qualified URL. Type choices (Restaurant, CafeOrCoffeeShop, Bakery and others) are schema.org subtypes of FoodEstablishment. Google's page also describes a restaurant carousel that it says is limited to a small set of restaurant providers and needs registration, so this tool does not claim you will get one. It does not mark up individual dishes or prices, and it does not add reviews of your own restaurant: Google asks for review markup only for sites that collect reviews about other businesses.

Which properties are special to restaurants?

servesCuisine and menu. The menu must be the fully qualified URL of the menu page, and servesCuisine names the type of cuisine.

Can I get the restaurant carousel with this markup?

Google says the carousel is currently limited to a small set of providers and has an interest form. Markup alone does not qualify you.

Should I mark up my own customer reviews?

Google asks for review markup on local businesses only when your site collects reviews about other businesses. See its guidelines on self-serving reviews.
