Markdown to HTML Converter

Convert Markdown to clean, safe HTML you can paste into a CMS or a template.

How to use

What it checks and how it works

The Markdown is parsed with marked, which implements CommonMark and, when switched on, the GitHub Flavored Markdown extensions (tables, strikethrough, task lists, autolinks). Links and images that use javascript:, vbscript:, data: or file: addresses are blanked. Raw HTML written inside the Markdown is shown as text by default; if you allow it, DOMPurify cleans it, and if DOMPurify cannot run in your browser the tool keeps the raw HTML as text instead. The output is a fragment, not a full page: it has no html, head or body tags and no styling. Rendering rules differ slightly between Markdown flavors, so check the result in your own CMS.

Is the HTML safe to publish?

Raw HTML is escaped by default and unsafe link addresses are blanked. If you turn raw HTML on, DOMPurify removes scripts and event handlers, but review anything you did not write yourself.

Does it support tables?

Yes, with GitHub Flavored Markdown on. Pipe tables become table elements, and the alignment colons in the divider row are honored.

Does it handle Arabic and right-to-left text?

Yes. The text is kept as it is. Add dir="rtl" on the element that wraps the output in your page, because Markdown has no way to set direction.
