VAT Calculator for Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE

Add VAT to a net price, or take it out of a price that already includes it, at the standard rate of Egypt, Saudi Arabia or the UAE.

How to use

What it checks and how it works

The standard rates are Egypt 14%, Saudi Arabia 15% and the UAE 5%, each read from the tax authority's own publication on 29 Oct 2026: Egypt's Law 67 of 2016 as amended by Law 149 of 2026, ZATCA's VAT guideline (Issue 1, April 2025) and the UAE Federal Tax Authority's VAT page. Rates can change, so confirm the rate with the authority before you file. Adding VAT: gross = net x (1 + rate). Taking it out: net = gross / (1 + rate). VAT is the difference. The sums run in whole minor units (piastres, halalas, fils) and round half up, so the three figures always add up exactly. The tool knows the standard rate only. Zero-rated and exempt supplies, reduced rates and special schemes depend on the product and the law, so use the rate field or ask the authority or your accountant.

Which rate does the calculator use?

The standard rate: 14% for Egypt, 15% for Saudi Arabia and 5% for the UAE, as published by each tax authority and checked on 29 Oct 2026. You can overwrite it with another rate.

Does it handle zero-rated, exempt or reduced goods?

It does not decide that for you. If your product has a zero or reduced rate, type that rate in the rate field. For exempt supplies no VAT is charged, so there is nothing to calculate.

Why can my invoice differ by a small amount?

Invoices often round VAT line by line, while this tool rounds once on the amount you enter. On a single price the two agree. On a basket of many lines the totals can differ by a few minor units.
