What it checks and how it works
Revenue per session = revenue / sessions. The two figures are ones GA4 reports as revenue and as sessions. The ratio is Zaher's: Google's dimensions and metrics reference, opened 29 Oct 2026, lists no metric by this name, so say how you built it when you share it.
Use one revenue definition (purchase revenue or total revenue) and one date range for both segments. The ratio swings widely when only a few sessions buy, so avoid reading a gap between segments with fewer than a few hundred sessions each. It does not tell you why the segments differ; a channel can earn more per session because of the audience, the offer or the device mix.

About this tool
Not under this name in Google's dimensions and metrics reference. It is a ratio you build from two metrics GA4 does report, revenue and sessions.
Conversion rate counts how often a visit converts. Revenue per session also reflects how much each conversion is worth, so a channel can convert less often and still earn more per visit.
Choose one definition, such as purchase revenue, and use it for every segment and period you compare. Mixing definitions makes the gap meaningless.
